Downgrade-enable (DE) byte ... set (flashes over any version)
Re-signing integrity table ... ok
Wrote BU40N_1.00.freemkv.bin (2,097,152 bytes)
Identity Answers the "are you freemkv?" ping
Speed Settable read-speed ceiling — lifts the riplock cap for full-rate ripping
Region-free Every DVD reads as region-free (DVD-only)
Raw Read Approves the host cert so the drive drops AACS drive↔host auth — it releases the Volume ID to a normal READ DISC STRUCTURE and, with no bus key, returns sectors unencrypted on the bus (content stays AACS-encrypted at rest; the host applies title keys)
Diagnostic Dump 64-byte firmware RAM windows
Downgrade Enable Sets the downgrade-enable (DE) byte, so freemkv installs over any existing firmware, OEM or 3rd party.
Stays Stock The drive stays 100% stock until freemkv commands are enabled, and can be disabled again on the fly.
